Have you ever tried digging out a stump? No easy task. Stump grinding is the removal of tree stumps after felling. At Bramland tree felling Pretoria, we use a stump grinder to get rid of those unsightly stumps in your yard. It is cost-effective and the amount of damage to your property minimal.  The stump grinder is a relatively light piece of equipment. The stump grinding machine will quickly grind the stump down to 300-350mm below ground level. Deeper grinds can be achieved but it is very seldom necessary. It is pushed to where it is needed and used to grind the stump into the ground. A 900mm wide clear access is needed for the machine. When finished only a mixture of wood chips and soil are left. The leftover product is normally disposed of within most gardens as mulch. We follow a process to remove the underlying stump and/or roots of a tree. Usually, this is done in preparation for some sort of development (i.e. Paving, Taring or Building) or due to property damage. Typically, we remove the stump and roots however this is dependent on the tree and spread of the roots, we make sure that everything is unlikely to regrow once the tree is down and the stump ground up into chips. Some Large roots may remain in the ground and slowly decompose.
